Amitji, Tum Jeeo Hazaaro Saal…

When appreciation mounts itself on a white steed.
When the rush of compliment gushes through the hair.
When near and dear acknowledge effort.
When the smile of fulfillment spreads across those that get involved.
Then does the stride fall firm and resolved;
Then does it bring rapid circulation into depressed veins;
Then does it fill the breath with an air of lightness - a lightness that allows one to drop his head in humble sublimation. …goes his humble mind on his blog. Amitabh Bachchan. The Big Daddy of Bollywood. Yet very down to earth, carries an enigma that no actor wears. Ever wondered what it would be like without this great inspiring persona on the reel screen? Loved by one and all; with respect embellished in admiration.
Vijay, Anthony, Amit, Jai… Each of his filmy characters became epitomes in life… larger than life yet humble. During his ‘Coolie’ days, when he suffered severe injury during its shoot, the whole nation prayed for him. By God’s grace, after he survived the blow, it was like a rebirth for him.
He tried each every nook and corner of cinema. Acting, dubbing, singing, ads, producing… Hero, anti-hero, baddie, supportive, cameo… He even tried to spread his persona into politics too. Sadly, it didn’t work out and he backed off at the proper juncture. Then he stepped in to the small screens…and his career took ahead like never before. With ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, Amitabh stormed into many more hearts and enjoyed an adorable status among the people. He went on to create a new stream for other stars to follow, a career beyond cinema, in television.
We don’t want to dive into his movie list, for, its huge and one better than the other… but we would like to mention ‘Saat Hindustani’- from where he started his Bollywood career, ‘Zanjeer’- with it came his ‘angry young man’ tag. So many memorable movies, so many admiring characters… With them, comes numerous awards and recognitions. Yet, he remains simple at heart, his mannerisms similar to those of common. Amitabh has even taken the fashion with a storm. His personality has been favourite among the designers too. He easily carries a striking charm, dressed in any kind of attire.
Amitabh married Jaya Bhadhuri, one of the reigning actress of their times, and both went on to give a beautiful family. A family, which has blossomed more after the entry of Aishwarya Rai, after she tied the knot with Abhishek.
One can look forward to his forthcoming release ‘Aladin’, where he wears the hat of a Genie, named Genius. Then we can see him as a kid in ‘Pa’, along with his son Abhishek and Vidya Balan. ‘Rann’, ‘Zamaanat’, ‘Teen Patti’ – all waiting to hit the screens next year. Not to forget his re-entry to the small screen with Bigg Boss 3, as the host. It is really a treat for the participants and the viewers as well, to see his newe avatar as the philosopher host.
We, at Indiaglitz, cheer up to him, to keep up the good work. Amitji, our hearty birthday wishes to you… Hope you have a great healthy life ahead… Hope you remain an inspiration to the generations to come.
