Bipasha Basu Drops Sexy Image in 'Pankh'

Bollywood babe "Bipasha Basu" is known for a lot of things, but being 'weird' isn't one of them. The Bengali bombshell is not only dating one of b-town's hottest hunks, "Dostana" star "Jhon Abraham", she also graces the covers of fashion magazines like Maxim and Harper's Bazaar. But before being known as the B-town babe that she is today, Bips played more challenging and deep roles. One of her earlier roles was in Amit Saxena's 2003 drama "Jism" where she played the cold hearted and mean Sonia Khanna. Bips worked opposite her real life beau John Abraham in the thriller about a lawyer who helps his mistress kill her husband only to find discover her darker side when it's too late. In Vikram Bhatt's 2002 fantasy thriller "Raaz" Bips also went for a more difficult part as a wife haunted by a spirit. And now it looks like Bipasha is ready to take on serious characters again. Or should we say weird? According to the star, her new role in Sudipto Chattopadhyay's upcoming drama "Pankh," is a weird girl from a village. "The character that I am portraying in "Pankh" is called Nandini. She is as weird as girl from a village can ever be. It's an angry young woman kind of a character," explained Bips. Well we wish Bipasha Basu all the best in her search for a more serious image. What do you think? Should Bips drop her sexy image for a more serious one? Drop us a line.
